Ecological planning
is a way of facilitating dialogue between human perceptions and activities and natural processes. It is based on the
knowledge of the reciprocal relationship between people and the natural world.
Our approach integrates ecological intelligence, design aptitude and human participation in order to restore ecological balance to our places, products
and practices. We employ the Technologies of Participation® in all of our consulting work.
Ecological planning is a multidisciplinary effort. Greenschemes facilitates the integration and interpretation
of information provided by these various disciplines. We then put it in a form that facilitates decision making.
For each project, we assemble the appropriate team of allied professionals to provide the appropriate
expertise and methodology.
Established in Greensboro, NC in 2006, by Elaine K. Stover, a practicing Human Ecologist, greenschemes has consulted with numerous agencies, organizations and local communities
in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.
