The Chikhale Ashram Shalla has invited Nelson Stover, Director of Educational Programs for greenschemes, to help launch the Global Classroom during his visit in November, 2011.

This launch phase has included:

• Upgrading the computer lab with new computers and an internet connection,
• Beginning an Internet dialogue with student in the US.
• Augmenting the curriculum to enhance environmental awareness.

This work was begun on Nov. 14th.  The following six reports provide additional details about the work that has been completed this month.

• A PowerPoint presentation provides images of the first week's activities
• A collection of poems point to the spirit of the first week
• A PDF file of pictures shows highlights of the second week's activities.
• A metaphorical story points to the spirit of the second week.
• Another PDF file of photos has been prepared highlighting the context in which the Chikhale School functions and the Internet connection to the US
• Much of the time spent establishing the Internet connection was spent sitting and reflecting while support structures were put in place
